Bio: My name is David Bowman, and I create art and maps using recycled vintage license plates under the name Design Turnpike. As a boy, we traveled a lot and I loved keeping track of license plates wherever we went. Road trips were kept entertaining by keeping a tally list of the many diverse plates I saw on the road along the way. Family vacations to New Mexico, South Dakota, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Canada and many other destinations across North America exposed me to the wealth of color, style and personality of each state's tag. My interest in maps, geography, travel and making things by hand grew to inspire my current work. In fact, a blue Michigan plate that adorned my first vehicle in 1998 lives on in one of the pieces in my personal collection. I love taking something old, dusty and discarded and turning it into something completely new, different and enjoyable. My pieces tend to remind viewers of a bygone era when things were simpler and sturdier and built to last. Working with my hands makes for a perfect diversion from my other love, web design and production. From my studio and workshop just outside Detroit, the birthplace of the modern automobile, I continue to brainstorm and produce various new designs along with some of my classic license plate maps and art. In addition to offering my handmade originals, I have a large portfolio of works available for purchase as high quality metal and canvas prints on FineArtAmerica.com "Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. During my travels, years as a therapist, and teacher, I realize each individual has a story. Within that story, is a loveliness all their own. My hope is that each art piece takes you on your own personal journey to discover the loveliness in and around you. My work is a collection of photographs taken from around the world. Photos that capture the wonder, expansiveness, and beauty in the world around us. May they enhance and brighten your day! http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/lynnrmorris.html Through the Window of My Soul As an artist, my objective is to capture on canvas the very essence of human emotions. The themes used in my work are derived from various cultures around the world. My paintings take on a life of their own. The emerging images convey a story. Sometimes, it’s my story, but oftentimes it’s about people who have lost their voice in our modern world. I use art as a media to educate the world about the beauty that exists in diverse cultures and societies. Art can become a divinely inspired connection between people. As a Native American, I want to share my world with you. I hope that you will find treasure in each of my paintings. My greatest influence, Leonardo Da Vinci. To the world I am noticed as a diversely talented person. Born in the small town of Big Rapids, Michigan.Seeking creativity with time and age. Now growing old and finding myself becoming remote and mysterious. http://angela-pari-dominic-chumroo.artistwebsites.com/featured/spirit-of-the-eagle-1-angela-pari-dominic-chumroo.html I'm Robert Weiman from Mountain Peaks Gallery. First of all I would like to personally thank you for viewing my images. I appreciate that, knowing someone has enjoyed my photography and will remember it for a long time makes me feel satisfied.I grew up loving the outdoors and animals which has led to photography to share my visions. My eyes are like a camera shutter anymore. I strive to get a creative envisions in my mind beforehand and lots of planning. In the end a very unique photograph that will look stunning is what I like. I grew up somewhere with wolves in the backwoods of Wisconsin (LOL). I've always been fascinated with animals. Then came the artist creativity rearing its head along the way, Art class in school was my favorite, I enjoyed it a lot. Life's journey landed me in Montana with my wonderful wife. Frequently going to Yellowstone National Park with all of this nature at its finest moments readily available to me! After timeless travels to Yellowstone you know in general where you should find the animals and off the beaten paths. (Not to mention poor me being stuck in between the Tetons and Glacier National Park). One day telling a friend about it, he suggested purchasing at camera to capture it. That leads me up to this point. Not wanting to leave the house without a camera in hand. After spending a lot of time in the outdoors scouting and patiently waiting for the brief 1/500th of a second to happen. A favorite new (relatively speaking) photo outing is spending days on end in Montana and Wyoming (sleeping in the middle of nowhere in the back of our pickup topper) looking for beautiful wild horses. Most people don’t think of horses as wildlife, but there are wild herds still today in our region. I quote like they say, "Life is like a camera... Focus on what's important capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot". Believe me, it takes a lot of clicking that shutter button before the Magic happens. Artist Bio: I have loved art since a very young age. The art I create is inspired by life and the human condition. It is how I view the world around me. Art is a lot like life, there is happiness, joy, sadness, ups and downs just like life. I see art in life and my passion is to express that in different mediums. I specialize in photography with a focus on themes, black and white and fine art photography. I have recently found myself drawn to creating drawings in pencil, charcoal and ink, acrylic and watercolor paintings that expresses how I see life. You will find a wide range of subject matters within my art from figurative work to abstract, from flowers and nature to cityscapes, seascapes, skyscapes and landscapes. I also create art that tells a story, has a central theme and focuses on social issues and all the encompasses. It is how I view the world around me.
