Kim Shuckhart Gunns
PNW Mixed Media Artist
Artist Information
Kim Shuckhart Gunns is an award winning artist, has shown in over a 100 juried art shows in the US and at Yangzhou Art Museum, in China. She is a member of Pacific Gallery Artists, South Hill Artists, Peninsula Art League and past member of Rainer Art League.
Kim has helped raise funds for many non-profit organizations through her art and time. She participated in the Landfill.Org Hubcap Project, by sending a 1957 Dodge Lancer hubcap mixed media art piece (4ft x 5ft) to The Marquis Gallery in PA. Her project will then have a show at the Museum of Shenandoah Valley (MSV) in Virginia, September 2014. At the Burien Art Gallery ‘Vision20/20’ fundraiser, 15 pieces sold in 45 minutes and then other pieces were selected for an invitational All Star Show; 2013 & 2014 at ROCO (Rochester Contemporary Art Center) NY, “6x6” fund raiser.
In her colorful contemporary artwork, Kim likes to compel the viewer to interact with her work by stimulating thought and interpretation thru her use of impressionist and abstract styles. Painting intuitively, her world of art resonates on bold color, direct strokes, and creative imagination. “The joy is in the creation, giving a visual experience for the eyes to absorb, the mind to ponder, the soul to linger and your thoughts to escape–making a shared connection –with you the viewer!”
Her work has been purchased by area corporations and private collectors. The best is hearing from the buyers that they love it and the art went to a good home. Just like a new mom, “It makes me proud that my babies are well taken care of.”
This past year has been a busy one: participating at the ROCO show at Rochester, NY in June, where they also have online sales to raise funds for the arts; the Vision 20/20 show in Burien; at the Lakewood Artfest “The Southside” was a recent winner; The PGA Group Show at the White Dove Gallery, afterward with a 3 month solo show for winter 2014; a show and sale at the Emerald Downs; “The Hubcap Project” museum show in Virginia up coming in September! It should be a very exciting opening at the MSV, 2500 miles away!
I have my art listed with two print-on-demand websites, Fine Art America and Redbubble (different works on each site). You can get several sizes of prints, cards, metal prints, posters, & I-phone covers. Redbubble has added throw pillows & tote bags which have already been a hit with sales & I will be adding t-shirts shortly.
Original artwork is sold through the artist only. Kim signs her work with her initials KSG.
There is a yearly sale of her original works in June; to be on the mailing list, E-mail: [email protected]

I’d also like to thank my volunteer Art Angels; those who help in many ways networking my artwork on SM or showing, referring, selling, and buying. If you wish to be an Art Angel contact me with what you want to do and I will add you to my select list. The Art Angel of the year receives a terrific art gift!
