Bio: Hi, My name is Ashley and I live the small town of Ocean Springs, MS. I have always loved art. Even as a kid, I was very advanced for my age. I got forcibly dragged into an AP Art class in 10th grade that I shouldn't have even been allowed in at the time as I was too young, but my teacher insisted. I learned so much and continued to take the class for 3 years. I even scored a 4 out of 5, which is considered the top 13% in the nation. That was when I really became interested in doing portraits in charcoal and people started actually asking me to draw them.
For me, that was phenomenal because I didn't view my work as that good. I made money for awhile doing that and selling paintings until I had my son. Things kind of slowed down and I did some personal ones of him as I just love drawing babies and children. However, I started getting out of touch with my passion and couldn't find the time to draw after I had my daughter. I've been waiting for her to be old enough to know not to destroy my art as I make since she in an attention getting child.
Now that things are starting to calm back down, I've return to school to pursue a different career that can support my family while I get back into my true passion. I would love to continue doing portraits and painting. Seeing peoples' reaction to the finished product is always the best part. I have always lived my life by my own uplifting saying, "Don't let the body be the barrier for the mind, learn to flow with what you feel and know that obstacles are not in your way but they are there to guide you".
Every rough travel in my life has led me to something greater so I know positivity is key to success. Please feel free to ask if you have anything you might want me to do for you. Another name you might see might art under is Bludcovrdrose. Its from an long love of red roses and has always been one of my signatures. Also, most of my work you see was done 4 to 7 years ago so I have improved a lot since then.
