~ Wendy J. St. Christopher
Texas-based artist, photographer, writer, and insomniac, Wendy J. St. Christopher, has an eye for the unexpected, and an imagination as deep as the ocean.
According to Wendy, hanging your artwork in someone's home is more satisfying than exhibiting it in a gallery. She insists that art should match your personality, and not necessarily match your couch -- or your designer Labradoodle.
Wendy didn't invent the Internet, but, for more than a decade, has used it to show and sell her art to a worldwide audience. Her work has, so far, been collected on five continents; she knows that couldn't happen in any other time in human history. Van Gogh should have been so lucky!
Because of the Internet, she's shipped art to more than one clever buyer in New Zealand -- which was fun; because having your art chosen to live on the other side of the globe is awesome, in every way.
Her art has found a forever home with a fan in Penzance -- a thrilling transaction, because . . . apparently, *operatic pirates* live there!
Wendy wants to hang an enormous world map, to chart all the far-flung places her art is living. But, she worries about the Texas-sized creepy-crawlies that might get trapped among all the golden push-pins and silk threads. Messy!
- A unicorn in the driveway is worth two birds in the hand.
- Color is *almost* always required.
- Boredom and routine are silent killers.
- The mysterious moon is more intriguing than the bright sun.
- People should laugh more, hug more, and sing more.
Wendy imagines eight hours of dream-filled rest, but knows she'll be up most of the night creating art, writing her first best-selling novel, and listening to music, instead.
That's how Wendy J. St. Christopher spends her time -- when she SHOULD be sleeping!
